Jointed Rock Failure Mechanism: A Method of Heterogeneous Grid Generation for DDARF

The original DDARF (discontinuous deformation analysis for rock failure) can only generate uniform grids, and the increase in number of grids reduces efficiency calculation, which limits use large-scale geotechnical engineering. This is a problem that needs to be solved DDARF. A new method proposed this paper optimize generation DDARF, optimized heterogeneous grids. model Brazilian disc-splitting experiment was established by using fine were generated crack propagation region model, andsparse at edge model. simulation results show simulated more consistent with physical than used grid respectively, simulate uniaxial compression experiment. Through experimental results, it concluded accurate simulating cracking joints blocks, are other software, computational much higher same time.
